Tell Your Story

My last NYC blog: Two Months of Firsts.

In retrospect, the two months went incredibly fast. It will take some time to digest and discern all I did and what I learned from it all. But for now, I am feeling a bit weary as I went non-stop. Having so much fun is exhausting. I had an angel on my shoulder, as I didn’t fall, didn’t get sick, had no harmful (maybe a scary one) encounters, and the weather was cooperative … [Read more...]

Seven days of fun…OVER

Trina and Paisly left on the 4th, early in the morning. Our seven days of fun in NYC came to an end, but we gave it our all. On their first day, we enjoyed the company of good friend Lila and her friend Danny. We saw two broadway plays, learned to make gelato, toured NBC, saw World Trade Center Memorial in the rain, became beautiful at Sephora, drooled on four floors of … [Read more...]

Happy New Year

OMGoodness! My husband, Cal, came in on Tuesday night. It was sweet to see him. Playing in NYC is more fun with him as my companion. Yesterday, we learned NOT to go to a grocery store in NYC the day before Thanksgiving. A first and last. It was dangerous. We were bomb-blasted by carts being scurried around by women with panic in their eyes, and men scratching their heads. I … [Read more...]

OMG. NYC – I’m HERE

Today is my second day, and I have already slaughtered my fiscally responsible budget and put two pounds of muscle on my walking legs. I’ve dreamed of this extended stay in NYC since my first visit in the 70’s. My last birthday motivated me to activate a wish into reality. This old country girl is going to experience a first every day for two whole months. Watch me twinkle. I … [Read more...]

America; the grandest home

America; the grandest home Sorry, but if you choose to read this column, you must endure my soapbox in defense of our amazing USA. If you do not like America, if you choose to complain about life within our fifty states, spare yourself and do not read this article. I love America. Period! I love her without conditions. Sure, I see flaws, we all have flaws, but she still wins … [Read more...]
