Mother’s Day is one day out of the year where we take the time to say, “Thank You!” to the women who do everything for us.

I know, for me, my mom is the most important person in my life. She has taken care of me on the good days and helped me out on the bad days for as long as I can remember.

Take a second to think about where you would be without your mom.

How would you have made it through kindergarten if your mom didn’t pack your lunch? How many times have you forgotten something at home and your mom came to the rescue?

Think about everything your mom has been there for; your first words, first steps, the first day of school, first day of being a sister, first day at a new school, first volleyball game, first recital, first day of high school, first breakup, first prom, etc. Your mom was there for it all.

She helped you make the right choices and she raised you to be the person you are today.

So, thank you, Mom, for bringing me into the world, for changing all of my dirty diapers, going through potty-training and for letting me sleep in your bed because I got scared in my room.

Thank you for caring for me when I was throwing up all over our house, for always knowing exactly where my uniform was when I thought it was gone forever.

Thank you for helping me with my homework, even though I am pretty sure you had no idea what you were doing either and for sitting through countless sports games, school plays, and dance recitals.

Thank you for driving me everywhere, for being my best friend, my inspiration and forgiving me when I break rules and curfew.

Thank you for listening to all my drama and feelings and telling me it will all work out.

Thank you for always challenging me to be the best I can be.

Thank you so much for teaching me to love myself.

Thank you for being the one person I can count on and look up to in my life.

Thank you for giving up your life for me.

Thank you for everything you do no matter how big or small.

Thank you for being the best mom ever.
