Voices of Rural Women across American Heartland-2

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day…was my motto as we left NE and rode across MO (on our Can Am Spyder). I did have a delightful brief conversation with a woman through the window of her car after we pulled up beside her in front of a local cafe.

I work here (pointing at restaurant we stopped for breakfast) and they stop serving breakfast at ten, but I’ll bet if you ask they will make you breakfast…I lost my rings. I took them off when I washed my hands and forgot to put them back on. When I went back they were gone. I have only been married three weeks and I’m afraid to tell my husband. I am hoping he took them to teach me a lesson. I feel sick…I’ll keep looking…I hope you have a good ride and miss the rain!
